Bribie Island U3A membership has continued to grow in recent years. We are currently catering to over 1400 members and are conducting over 100 classes each term. In addition we run several workshops over the year. Our newly extended premises have been fully operational for a year now and we find we are at times running almost at capacity already!
U3A is a self help education movement which caters for persons in the 'third age' and for those who have retired, promoting the concept of studying simply for the joy of learning. It is not a formal University, and does not offer formal qualifications nor set academic qualifications as a prerequisite for entry.
