Mr. Grondal told me that he built the AMA Special from a GB kit. His other contest plane was a box stock GB Nobler. He flew BOTH in the 1960 WC's. The GB for the 2 FAI pattern flights and the AMA Special (Grondal Nobler) for the AMA pattern flight. Both patterns were used in 1960 at the World's.
