The Samford Eco-Corridor project began in 2013 with the aim of restoring biodiversity to waterways and connecting riparian habitats along the South Pine River. Since the program s inception, over 6000 trees have been planted to recreate a section of Gallery Rainforest on Alluvial Plains , a habitat type that is currently not protected in any Queensland reserves.
